No legal entity has been registered for this business yet. These terms are a statement of the intended operating principles of the service. They do not constitute a binding contract, because there is no registered entity to be bound. The operator must supply the entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms can bind anyone. Until then, the service is provided as-is with the principles described below.

What this service is

Recongap is a web-based reconciliation tool. It compares two CSV files — a payout report from a payment processor and an order export from a merchant's order system — and returns a line-by-line comparison: which orders are in both files, which are missing from the payout, which are unexpected, and how the fees compare. The output is purely arithmetic: the tool computes differences between the numbers you provide. It does not make judgments about your processor's conduct.

What Recongap is not

Recongap is not an accounting system, a bookkeeping service, a certified audit tool, or legal advice. The reconciliation results are informational and should be verified against your own records. Recongap does not store your financial data (free tier), does not file taxes, does not send payments, and does not communicate with your bank or processor on your behalf.

No accounts

Recongap does not have an account system. There is no user registration, no login, no password, and no user profile. The free tier operates entirely without identifying you. The Pro tier will use a session token stored in your browser to associate your reconciliations — this is not a user account and does not identify you personally.

Billing

The free tier costs nothing and requires no payment information. The Pro tier is a monthly subscription: $19 per month for full-month reconciliation with persisted history.

What you are buying. A Pro subscription lets you reconcile an entire month of payouts against your order exports, stores the results in a database so they survive browser close, and lets you view past reconciliation summaries. You are buying access to the software feature set described on the pricing page — not a service guarantee, not an audit, and not financial advice.

Payment processor

Payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Recongap does not see or store your card details. Stripe handles all payment card data in accordance with its own privacy and security policies. Recongap stores only enough information to identify that a subscription is active (a Stripe subscription ID and the email address you provide at checkout).

Billing period and renewal

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Each billing period starts on the day you subscribe. Your subscription auto-renews each month until you cancel. You will be charged $19 on the same day each month. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.

Failed payments

If a payment attempt fails (expired card, insufficient funds, bank decline), Stripe retries the charge automatically up to three times over a period of approximately two weeks. If all retries fail, your subscription will be suspended. (Email notification of failed payments is planned — there is no email sender yet. The current subscription flow is test-mode only, so no real payments or suspensions occur.) Unpaid access is not restored until a successful payment is processed. No partial refunds are issued for suspended periods.

Refund policy

Because the Pro tier is a software access subscription, refunds are issued only in cases of prolonged service unavailability or billing error. If you believe you were incorrectly charged, contact support within 14 days of the charge — a contact method is planned but not yet available, so no email address is published. Accidental duplicate charges are refunded in full. No refunds are given for partial months after cancellation.

Current status: test mode only

Stripe is connected in test mode. No real payment is processed, no real card is charged, and no subscription is active. The checkout flow on the pricing page is a demonstration of the intended purchase experience. When real payments are enabled, this section will be updated with that date. Until then, no financial obligation exists between you and Recongap for the Pro tier.

Price changes

Recongap may change the Pro tier price in the future. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price change affecting their subscription. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

You agree to use Recongap only for its intended purpose: reconciling your own payout reports against your own order exports. You may not:

No warranty

Recongap is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. The reconciliation results are computed from the files you provide. If a file cannot be parsed correctly, the error is reported — but Recongap does not guarantee that every possible CSV format will be handled correctly. The tool is arithmetic against a stated rule, and any error in the input may produce an error in the output.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Recongap shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from incorrect reconciliation results, data loss, or service interruption. Because the service handles money data, you are strongly advised to verify critical reconciliations against your own records.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

No governing law or jurisdiction is specified because no legal entity has been registered. When the operator registers a legal entity, the governing law of its jurisdiction will apply.
