Your payout is smaller than your orders. $137.90 — see exactly why.
Your processor deposits one lump sum. Your order system says a different number. The difference is fees, refunds, chargebacks, holds and timing — and nobody can see which. Upload the payout report and your order export, and get back every order that is missing, every fee that is not explained by the published schedule, and the exact arithmetic from gross orders to the amount that landed in the bank.
Two CSV files in, one line-by-line explanation out. Nothing is stored — your files are processed in memory and discarded. ($137.90 is an illustrative example, not a claim about your account.)
The arithmetic behind the number
Every reconciliation is this equation, and every term in it is traced to a row you uploaded.
Breakdown: 1 order missing from every payout ($89.00), 2 fee lines above the published rate (+$46.30), and $2.60 in timing differences posted to next cycle. That is the whole answer — no write-off required.
Not a summary. A line-by-line explanation.
Every figure on the result screen is derivable from the files you supplied. If a row cannot be parsed, it is reported as unparsed — never dropped from the total, and never silently turned into a zero.
Orders in your export, absent from the payout
Each one listed with its order ID and amount — the candidate for "where did this money go", answered row by row.
Fees that differ from the published schedule
When a payout line charges 3.1% where the published rate is 2.9% + 30¢, you see the order, the expected fee, the actual fee, and the difference in cents.
One gap figure, fully decomposed
Missing orders, fee overcharges, timing differences — each component quantified, summing to the total gap. If it cannot be computed, you are told why instead of seeing 0.00.
No figure you cannot find in your own file
The tool is arithmetic against a stated rule. It reports what your numbers say — it never accuses your processor of anything.
Three steps, about a minute each
Export your payout report
Download the payout CSV from your payment processor — Stripe payouts, PayPal activity, or any processor whose report lists order ID, amount and fee per row.
Export your orders
From your shop or order system: order ID, order total, and an expected fee if you have one. The column names do not need to match — Recongap detects them.
Read the reconciliation
Matched orders, missing orders, unexpected payouts, fee differences — and the exact arithmetic from gross orders to the amount that landed in the bank.
Traceable to the row, always
If Recongap shows a number, that number comes from a line in one of your files. The reconciliation report links each fee it names to a plain-language explanation — interchange, assessment, chargeback, currency conversion, instant payout — so "assessment fee" is never left unexplained.
A result that says a fee is unjustified is never shown. The tool points at arithmetic: an order missing from every payout, a fee line higher than the published rate, a timing gap. What you conclude from that arithmetic is your call.
unexplained_gap = gross_orders − expected_fees − payout_net
